Take my hand
Cover your palm in mine
Lay with me on the sand
Breathlessly by the brine

And then take these lips
And give your lips to me
We rest together now
Seamlessly by the sea

Then we will be sinking down, we will be sinking down

We’ll hide here within this rush
The Plover will share her song
Beneath the morning’s blush
Bashfully and beyond

Now we will press our hands
Into this quiet dune
Two prints on a silver strand
That shift to a pattern strewn

Then we will be sinking down, we will be sinking down
