I’ve been watching as the sand drifts through this grass
Now in my life

I’ve been sleeping on this bank watching seabirds pass
Hoping that you will soon lay here with me on this dune

I’ve been waiting as the wind blows toward the sea
Now in my life

I’ve been looking up at the sky as these clouds swim by
Hoping that you and I can turn our hearts toward sky

I’ve been searching here for you should this day unfold
Now in my life

I’ve been standing in the surf as the colors wave
Hoping that you will save  the memories that we once made
