I shouldn’t take that path this morning. 
I shouldn’t lead her through that gate.

I shouldn’t take her by the hand. 
We shouldn’t lay there in the sand. 

But tomorrow may be just one day too late

But I should feel the sun inviting. 
I should accept the morning’s fate. 

I should embrace the ocean breeze. 
Let it take me to my knees. 

For tomorrow may be just one day too late.
