Seabird, is there a song that you can teach to me?
Will your song help sing her back to me?
Perhaps your song is in the mist.

Sea breeze, have you a secret you can share with me?
Will your secret guide her back to me?
Perhaps she’s waiting to be kissed.

I’m on this lonesome dune
Hoping that she may hear this whispered tune.
Knowing my search for her has just begun.
A foolish Killdeer, serenading the sun.

Sea grape, why is your wine so mercilessly sweet?
Willowy yet so replete.
You serve the emptiness I fear.

Seaway, will your currents guide her back to me?
Into my arms straight from the sea.
Won’t you please just lead her here.
